What is Youth Beating the Odds (YBTO)
A discipleship program for youth ages 13 – 21 who have beat the odds and experienced success in life.
Mission: To disciple and mentor youth ages 13 – 21 so they may fulfill their God given purpose, mission in life, and serve others by giving back into the community.
Vision: Youth will become national and international leaders who exemplify godly character and meritorious service to their community and to the nation.
Goals:
- Provide mentoring and coaching for educational, spiritual, and relational success
- Strengthen character development
- Enhance critical thinking skills for educational and personal purposes
- Assist in establishing and achieving specific and measurable goals
- Build and support leadership skills
- Practice and increase effective communication skills
- Display and exhibit godly character in all life decisions
Submission requirements
- Submit photo for media use
- Submit 150-200 word commentary with short biography and highlights of successes in (1) family; (2) school; (3) community; (4) spiritual.
